Scholars

The Australian Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies welcomes and fosters the academic support and input of scholars in this field- from undergraduate level and beyond. A contingent of academics at various Australian institutions act as liaison officers between the Institute and their particular institution. Contractual employment, in the form of tutorial assistance or guest lecturing is at times sought by the Institute. Our Australian academic contacts are the local counterpart to the overseas Associates of our Institute.

Genocide Perspectives Volume III is presently in press, due for release in March 2006.

The idea behind Genocide Perspectives is to publish the work of PhD students and scholars in the fields of Holocaust and comparative genocide. All submissions are subjected to rigid scrutiny by a number of academic readers of repute, enabling us to guarantee a high quality, refereed publication. The foci of Genocide Perspectives Volume III will be on “Children and genocide” and “law and genocide”, in particular on Rwanda, the tribunals, reparations and collective responsibility. We are also seeking outstanding work on Africa, Asia and South America.

If you are a scholar in the field of Holocaust and genocide studies or have students who may wish to contribute their work for possible publication, please respond to Sandra Tatz, via email address: aihgs@shalom.edu.au or ctatz@laurel.ocs.mq.edu.au.
